Having joined in 2013, Simon was promoted to Partner in 2018 and is head of TP’s Commercial team.

He trained at a top-20 City law firm and spent some time at one of the leading regional firms in the South East. He understands how Manchester works having been born and raised in the city, and now applies his London experience to the Manchester market.

Simon specialises in commercial, technology, data and intellectual property law, with a particular focus on start-ups and high-growth businesses. His clients come from across the commercial spectrum, including retail, healthcare, digital, technology and engineering.

He advises clients on a variety of commercial issues, including data protection (and GDPR in particular), SaaS and cloud technologies, hardware, software, outsourcing, franchising, distribution, agency, marketing, business planning and trading (whether B2B or B2C), and intellectual property exploitation and licensing.
