Having gained a degree in Law from Queen’s University Belfast, which included an Erasmus semester at the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole in France, Matthew relocated to Manchester in September 2013 to complete the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at The University of Law.

He joined Turner Parkinson in July 2014 as a Corporate Paralegal. Matthew commenced his training contract at Turner Parkinson in September 2015, completing seats in Corporate, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution. Upon qualification in March 2017, Matthew qualified as a Corporate Solicitor and deals with a wide range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, reorganisations, investments and the provision of general corporate advice.

During his training contract, Matthew was an active member of the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group (MTSG) and was elected to the position of Chair for 2016/2017. Matthew currently sits on the Manchester Law Society Council as well as the Manchester Law Society Social and Education committees. Outside of work, Matthew has a keen interest in the piano and violin (both classical and Irish traditional) and is also an avid swimmer.
