An Update For Employers
The Government has announced the start of a review of the employment tribunal fees which were introduced in July 2013. The most recent statistics demonstrate that claims continue to fall with 25% fewer single claims being presented between January and March 2015 compared with the same period last year.
The outcome of the review is expected later in the year. Coincidentally or not, this announcement comes the week before Unison’s appeal against the High Court’s dismissal of their judicial review application on fees is due to be heard by the Court of Appeal.
ACAS have published guides on holiday pay and rights of antenatal and adoption appointments and surrogacy.
The Government has announced plans to double free childcare to up to 30 hours per week for working parents of 3 and 4 year olds to start a year earlier than planned, in 2016.
