For the second successive year Turner Parkinson's corporate team are celebrating collective and individual accolades.
Following a strong performance in 2012 as number one corporate team in the North West for deals completed, the team have continued their strong organic growth by achieving a record year for the team. Completing 75 deals nationally and internationally worth an aggregate value of over £370 million, the team are ranked as joint third most active corporate team in the North West and are top 20 nationally (2013) in the Experian Corpfin league tables.
In addition to team statistics, solicitor Robin Hastings completed a successful year ranked as the North West's most active corporate lawyer. James Sheridan was ranked second and the team had five of the top 10 most active individuals regionally.
The firm's 10 strong corporate team advises a broad array of clients ranging from large overseas groups such as TVS, substantial privately owned groups such as Logson Group and Warren James, through to a variety of owner-managed, private equity and venture capital owned companies and a stable of emerging high growth companies, many of whom have VC funding.
Deal volumes for the team grew in the TMT, financial and professional services and manufacturing sectors. Quarterly analysis showed more consistent deal volume through the year and strong growth from quarter two onwards, suggesting that improved confidence in the UK and its economy is beginning to feel more permanent and impacting positively on the corporate finance market.
