Turner Parkinson are delighted with the recent appointments to the position of Chair for two of its lawyers. Laura Lucas, an Associate in the Insolvency team, has been appointed as the Chair of the R3 North West New Professionals Group, whilst Corporate Trainee Solicitor Matthew Flanagan has been appointed as Chair of the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group Committee.
Laura has been a founding member of the R3 North West New Professionals Group, which focuses on organising networking events for those in the insolvency industry. She spoke further on her appointment: “I am very pleased to be taking on the role of Chair on the R3 North West New Professionals Committee. There are a growing number of young insolvency professionals based in the North West and the Group is proving to be very popular for professionals who are looking to expand their network. The Committee will continue to build on the success of the previous years and we have some exciting events to look forward to.”

The MTSG is one of the largest Trainee Solicitor groups in the country and provides a range of events for its members across Greater Manchester. Prior to Matthew’s appointment as Chair he was elected as co-Ball Director in 2015. Matthew spoke further on his appointment: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of Chair on the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group Committee this year. Having already spent a year as co-Ball Director on the MTSG Committee, I am looking forward to growing and developing the MTSG as well as working alongside and supporting all elected committee members.”
