Corporate Team Advises Warren James as Pinewood Studios Raises £30m
The Corporate team at Turner Parkinson, led by James Sheridan, advised Warren James on Pinewood Group’s £30m placing and £135m re-financing announced on 31 March.
Female First Owner Bought out of Administration
The company behind Female First has been bought out of administration by its former management team. Mark Lund, Head of Insolvency at Turner Parkinson was assisted by Mark Hague acted for the administrator in the sale of the business.
Change to the Data Protection Act 1998
Section 56 of the Data Protection Act 1998 will come into force on 10 March 2015. This will make it illegal for an employer to require job applicants to obtain a copy of their criminal record by means of a subject access request.
General Election May 2015
Labour has announced further intended changes to employment law which will be included in its election manifesto. They focus on assisting young people to get into work and on the living wage. Labour is also focussed on reform of the banking system.
