Business law firm Turner Parkinson are celebrating as two members of the firm have been recognised for individual awards at the 2016 Made In Manchester Awards.
David Easdown, Director in the Corporate team, has been shortlisted for Mentor of the Year. David’s nomination was put forward by Trainee Solicitor Matthew Flanagan. David worked closely with Matthew during his time as a paralegal in the Corporate team, having worked on numerous deals together. Matthew was delighted to hear of his former mentor’s nomination “I am delighted to hear that David has been shortlisted for this award. It recognises David’s exceptional approach as a mentor and it is extremely well deserved. I congratulate David for the shortlisting and wish him every success for the awards ceremony”. David spoke of delight having been nominated by his team "I’m honoured to have been nominated by our team for this award. It is a recognition of the time and effort that as a Firm we put into development of the junior members of our team. At a time when recruitment and retention of good people is a critical issue for professional services firms, we are fortunate to have so many promising young lawyers and it is a pleasure for me to help them grow and become key members of our team".
Turner Parkinson’s other nominee is Paul McGlone who has been shortlisted for Business Development Professional of the Year. Paul spoke of his delight “to be recognised for an award at the prestigious Made In Manchester Awards is something I am incredibly proud of. I have been involved with the Awards over the years so to be have shortlisted is personally a proud moment for me. The Awards have been an important event in the calendar and I look forward to the interview process and the Awards evening”.
The Made in Manchester Awards is organised by future pro-manchester. Sam Hall, chairman of future pro-manchester commended “The standard of entries and sheer talent we see with The Made in Manchester Awards is just outstanding and I’m delighted to announce another fantastic shortlist for this year after what has been a tough judging process”.
There are 12 award categories in total with 58 entrants shortlisted. The award ceremony takes place on the 4th February 2016 at the Hilton Hotel.
